Publication Principles

1.Journal shall be published in two editions annually, as June and December editions in line with the status of an ‘International Refereed Journal’ since 2011. It is a journal indexed in the TUBITAK-ULAKBIM TR Index Law Database since 2013.

2.Papers submitted to the journal should not have been published or sent for publication elsewhere.

3.In the first evaluation made by the Publication Board, the articles that are determined not to be prepared in accordance with the publication principles are returned to the author for correction before being sent to the referee.

4.The articles that are evaluated by the Publication Board and found to be in compliance with the publication principles are sent to the referee. According to the report from the referee, it is decided to publish the article, request correction from the author or reject the publication of the article. The author will be informed of this situation as soon as possible.

5.Authors’ titles, institutions, and correspondence addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses must be reported.

6.The type character should be Times New Roman with a font size of 11 pt. in the main parts of the article, and 9 pt. in footnotes. Line spacing must be 1,5 in main parts of the article and 1 in footnotes. The articles should be sent to the hukukdergi@akdeniz.edu.tr website.

7.The publication languages of the journal are Turkish, English, German and French. In addition to the abstract of the articles, the title and keywords should also be submitted in the original language and in English.

8.The title of the article should be in black and capital letters. Just below the title, the name of the author should be written on the right side of the page and an asterisk must be placed at the end of the surname. In the starred footnote; the author's university or institution, title, e-mail address and ORCID ID information should be included.

Example: Akdeniz University Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial Law, Prof. xyz,  xyz@gmail.com, ORCID ID: http://orcid.org/0000-0002-5077-4747.

 9. The headings in the text should be arranged as follows:

      1.Bold and Only Initial Letters Uppercase

          a.Normal and Only Initial Letters Uppercase

                   a.1. Normal and Only Initial Letters Uppercase

If the “INTRODUCTION” heading is used, it should not be numbered.

B. At the end of the article, the bibliography, in which the sources are arranged in alphabetical order according to the surname of the author, should be included.

a) Books should be cited in the bibliography as follows:

Author's Surname, Name, Title of Book ( must be italic), Number of Editions, Place of Published and Year Published. Author's name and surname should be written in bold and lowercase.

b) Articles should be cited in the bibliography as follows:

Author's Surname, Name, Title of the Article, Name of the Journal, Volume- Issue-Year Information of the Journal, First and last page numbers of the article. Author's name and surname should be written in bold and lowercase.

10.References to sources in the text should be shown as footnotes at the end of each page. For each source, the first citation should include full descriptive information.

a)In the first references to the book, the Author's Surname, Name, the name of the book, the number of editions, the place of publication and the year of publication should be written. In following references to the same work, the Author's Surname, Abbreviated Name of the book (if necessary) and page number should be given.

b) In the first references to the article, the Author's Surname, Name, Title of the Article, Name of the Journal, Volume-Issue-Year Information of the Journal, and which page the reference was made to should be indicated. The name and surname of the author should be indicated in bold and lowercase letters. In following references to the same work, the surname of the author, the Abbreviated Name of the article (if necessary) and page number should be given.

11.Papers sent to the editor for publication in the journal are not published without the approval of two referees or without the corrections suggested by the referee.

12.No royalty fee is paid to the author for the articles published in the journal. The Dean of the Faculty of Law of Akdeniz University and/or the person and/or institution authorized by the Dean shall have publication rights of the articles accepted. The author agrees to transfer all copy rights of the paper which has been approved to be published in the journal.

 The Dean's Office has exclusive authority in this regard. The author is deemed to accept this issue by submitting his/her paper.

13.In addition to the papers approved by referees, the journal also includes book review, assessment of legislation and informative notes. The evaluation of such articles is done by the Publication Board.
